What I bring to the village…

  • I have been working with children for 12 years in various capacities and have loved every minute of it.

From being a youth program advisor, after-school program coordinator, toddler teacher, summer camp counselor, an English teacher in Italy, to being a nanny for 1,2, and 4 children- I have the background and expertise to jump in and fit in seamlessly with your family!

  • A good nanny is constantly advising you of current and upcoming milestones for your little one. They help guide your children through changes big and small with compassion and love.

A great nanny, however, also helps you as parents to grow. This is achieved by connecting you with relevant source materials so you can better understand your child’s development and behavior, assisting your family through ups and downs, and being a dependable/calming presence so you can achieve all of your personal and career goals knowing your children are well cared for.

A great nanny will also constantly work on growth for their own personal and professional development. I receive coaching from an amazing senior childcare professional, attend daily Nanny workshops, listen to amazing podcasts, attend monthly summit sessions, and immerse myself in relevant content that I find are not only entertaining, but help me grow in my career.

  • I strive to create impactful, strong bonds with the children I work with by showing them that I respect them as humans no matter their age. I do this by seeing past their behaviors and looking at what they are genuinely trying to communicate, engaging with them in things they actually enjoy, and allowing them to be independent.

I meet them where they are on their developmental journey and give them the language and tools they need to become confident not only in my ability but their own.

I always end the day by saying “I love you no matter what” and make sure to genuinely mean it.

FAQs

  • Being a nanny is a very fulfilling career for me and I am so excited to get to work everyday. The reason for this is that I feel like I have the opportunity to influence a younger generation, and encourage them to be compassionate, curious, and confident.

Children have an infinite amount of things to learn and I enjoy packing the day with as much mental and sensory stimulation as possible. The more fun and stimulation the children are having, means the more fun I get to have alongside them throughout the day. Being a nanny also gives me the opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors- playing with children, doing nature art, going on picnics, and exploring new places in the city. I have also had very great luck with all of my previous employer’s and they have always been so grateful for my work. All of the “thank you’s” really make this a notable career choice for me.
